The KSMTCTM01 is used for communication payload testing. The communication payload; like many other subsystems of the satellite can be controlled/configured from earth station using various commands knows as TELECOMMAND (TC). Similarly the payload status / health can be monitored on ground through various status signals commonly known as TELEMETRY (TM).
