The KDS-133-SP Sensor measures vertical wind speed (i.e., upward or downward) in automatic logging environments. The sensor uses a propeller type rotor coupled to a quadrature optical/magnetic rotational (incremental) encoder for measurements. It is used for high-accuracy, in-situ applications; by wind farm prospectors and equipment manufacturers; and by researchers.
