The pioneering KDS-615 Sensor measures a large number of related parameters, apart from the five primary atmospheric parameters, i.e., temperature, humidity, wind speed, wind direction, pressure and optionally, wet bulb temperature in automatic weather station applications. The sensor uses its internal processing power and captive intelligence to coordinate measurements and compute a host of derived parameters.
These additional parameters include classed wind, barometric altitude, density altitude, dry and wet bulb temperature, wind chill and heat index, dew point, humidity ratio, and many more possibilities like specific enthalpy, specific volume etc. that would otherwise require a reference to psychrometric charts or calculators.
The sensor also has full floating point libraries. It seamlessly integrates into systems using the digital KomBus RS485 connectivity to sensors. It finds wide use in meteorological, agri-meteorological and industrial applications.
