Station Information
The Multilevel Agricultural Station is portable and is suited for use in the field for periodic observation of weather parameters. The agricultural sector is heavily affected by the weather, including by factors like delayed monsoons, and seasonal storms, floods or droughts. By regularly monitoring crucial weather parameters, farming decisions can be taken with a greater degree of accuracy. The weather station reads observations from five sets of Temperature-Relative Humidity and Wind Speed sensors at five heights and stores these measurements for future use. It polls all sensors for measurements every 30 seconds and stores up to 156 hours of data. Agriculturists can use the data to determine various matters like the best time to sow crops and the cropping pattern to be followed. They can also take timely action to avoid losses due to unfavorable weather conditions.
Retrieval of the recorded weather data is done through:
- The weather station
- Serial COM communication
- USB thumb drive & USB based software utility
