leaf-wetness-sensor-kas-151-analog-pct1-25 .pdf [ Download ] |
The KAS-151 Sensor detects the presence of surface moisture on leaves and calculates the duration of wetness. When moisture is present, a glass-epoxy plate that carries gold plated, interdigitated surface conductivity measuring patterns changes its electrical resistance in proportion to the moisture which accumulates on the sensing surface.
The indigenously developed sensor is used for greenhouse studies & control systems and for scheduling irrigation. It also allows researchers to protect plants by giving early warning about fungus & insect attacks.
