Global Solar Radiation Sensor

  global-solar-radiation-sensor-kds-051-pct1-34.pdf  [ Download ]
The KDS-051 Sensor measures global solar radiation based on a photodiode. A cosine corrected diffuser mitigates angular sensitivity of the sensor and gives it an angular response flatness commensurate with the accuracy within a wide field of view. Leveling arrangements are part of the sensor including a built-in spirit level. The sensor is direction insensitive and responds to the total global radiation. The range of the sensor – from 300nm to 1000nm - covers a major part of the shortwave radiation that reaches the ground. The measurements are used in the agricultural, meteorological, and hydrological fields.

Features:
  • High signal output (200 mV at full sunlight)
  • Compatible with a wide range of data loggers
  • Minimal low-light offset errors
  • Averaging for stable readings
  • Automatic internal electronics calibration
  • Stores individual sensor calibration
  • Digital and analog outputs supported
  • Suitable for continuous outdoor use
Specifications:
Range: 0 Wm-2 to 2000 Wm-2
Accuracy: +/- 5 %FS
