evaporation-quantum-rate-sensor-kds-221-pct1-.pdf [ Download ] |
The KDS-221 Sensor determines the evaporation rate by measuring the low-range water level in an evaporation pan. (The pan itself is not part of the sensor; Komoline offers IS compliant evaporation pans separately.) It uses a float pulley/rack and pinion arrangement coupling a float to an optical shaft encoder. The sensor is built to exacting specifications. It easily integrates into an automatic weather station environment and provides reliable, on-site measurements. The collected data is used by agriculturists to budget for and allocate water resources as higher evaporation rates lead to higher demand for water.
