Track the weather with reliable monitoring apparatus
Komoline manufactures meteorological instruments for monitoring the weather. The apparatus consists of:
- Weather Stations
- Sensors
- Sonde
Komoline provides weather stations for use in weather forecasting, pollution control, hydrometeorology, agro-meteorology, aviation meteorology and oceanography among other fields. It combines advanced micro-electronics technology and a decade of expertise in this field to provide reliable weather monitoring apparatus.
Our core expertise is in the manufacture of Remote Automated Weather Stations, Agro-met Towers, MBLM-met Towers, 50-meter FLUX-met Towers, Tide Gauge Systems, and High Speed data acquisition systems. The weather stations are expandable to include more sensors and different data collection methods & mast options. These function consistently under varying weather conditions.
Komoline manufactures sensors to measure air temperature, atmospheric pressure, dew density, radiation, conductivity & temperature, and other parameters. The instruments provided quantify a single event, such as precipitation, to automated observation systems that measure a wide range of environmental parameters.
The company manufactures Sonde to measure meteorological conditions such as temperature, humidity and pressure, along with atmospheric wind, in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
The products are designed so as to enable their use in a wide variety of applications. The meteorological instruments manufactured by Komoline are used by government organisations, the aviation industry, environmental protection agencies and other institutions that require accurate weather monitoring & recording, and reliable environmental data. |

Weather Stations
|
Komoline’s weather stations are used in the Meteorological, Agricultural, Hydro-meteorological, Industrial, Pollution, Marine, Bio-meteorological and Aviation fields among others. It also offers its customers a Do-it-yourself option for a customized weather station. The Automated Weather Station product range consists of Precision Sensors, Data-loggers, Transmitters, and Software, including integrated in-situ measurement equipment and solutions.
The company combines advanced micro-electronics technology and a decade of expertise in this field to provide reliable weather monitoring apparatus. Our core expertise is in the manufacture of Remote Automated Weather Stations, Agro-met Towers, MBLM-met Towers, 50-meter FLUX-met Towers, Tide Gauge Systems, and High Speed data acquisition systems.
The precision sensors measure air temperature, atmospheric pressure, dew density, soil temperature, wind speed and direction, solar radiation, conductivity & temperature, and various other parameters. Different types of data loggers, including multi parameter data loggers and high-speed data loggers, are available for automatically collecting data. Data is received via satellite earth stations, or a GSM data hub, or an ISM transceiver hub. To communicate with the weather stations, modems, transmitters, Wi-Fi or the Ethernet are used. The options to broadcast collected data include indoor & outdoor displays, IVR & IVS systems, and websites via the Internet. The flexibility to change sensor configurations, data processing, and data storage & retrieval options is also provided.
The rugged weather stations function in varying weather conditions to give the desired degree of accuracy, resolution, range, and update interval. These are equipped with solar panels and rechargeable batteries for continuous power supply along with necessary accessories such as mast, poles, fencing, lightning arrestor, and earthing.
Komoline’s weather stations are used by government agencies and various institutions for monitoring atmospheric weather conditions. Users include:
- Indian Meteorological Department
- Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology
- National Centre for Medium Range Weather Forecasting
- Indian Space Research Organisation
- Defence Research & Development Organization
- Airports Authority of India
- The Armed Forces including Indian Coast Guard
- Ocean Development Institute
- Various research institutions, media, and agriculture universities

Sensors
|
Komoline manufactures more than 35 different weather sensors, including sensors to measure atmospheric pressure, wind speed and direction, precipitation, temperature, tides, relative humidity, leaf wetness, and radiation. A majority of the sensors are smart sensors that incorporate a microcontroller. The indigenously built sensors use the latest technology and can ensure strong signals over cable lengths up to several hundred meters. They are designed for specific applications in fields such as weather forecasting, pollution control, hydrometeorology, agro-meteorology, aviation meteorology and oceanography. Accurate readings are obtained even in extreme weather conditions. Each sensor is individually calibrated so that sensors of the same model can be interchanged without any adjustment. Additionally, sensors with industry standard voltage output are supplied, for easy installation in the existing system.

Sonde
|
Komoline provides two types of Sonde:
- GPS Drop Sonde - KTMS-3630
- GPS Radio Sonde - KTMS-3630
A Sonde measures meteorological conditions in the upper layers of the atmosphere. It measures temperature, humidity and pressure in addition to GPS related static and dynamic parameters. It transmits data via radio to a receiving system. A GPS receiver tracks the movement of the Sonde during its descent. This equipment is used by government organisations and other institutions to record reliable data on atmospheric weather. |
