Sonde

Atmospheric observation instrumentation from Komoline includes telesondes, or radiosondes as they have been traditionally called, of the ascending and descending variety, and data receivers for the same.

The ascending telesonde is designed for measurement of atmospheric parameters in-situ by riding a balloon. Temperature, Relative Humidity and Pressure are the most common parameters; Komoline continues to expand the choices available.

Currently Komoline offers telesondes with 400MHz met band radio link, extremely low on mass and high on performance. The KTMS-3630 is a GPS-PTU (GPS Enabled Pressure, Temperature and Relative Humidity) device and the KTMS-3640 is GPS-TU (GPS Enabled Temperature and Relative Humidity) instrument.

The KTMS 3650 is a descending telesonde (a drop-sonde), desgined for a high-altitude drop and chute-regulated descent.

All telesondes from the Komoline stable use the latest in technology and can be read in realtime using very simple to use receivers. The KSAC-5801 is a easy to install telesonde receiver which connects to a PC through a USB and provides real-time telesonde data.
